Jim Franks holds a bachelor’s degree in theology from Ambassador College (with a double minor in public speaking and business administration). He has taught the Bible as a pastor for 35 years and served in various administration positions for almost 14 years. He currently serves as president of the Church of God, a Worldwide Association. He has taught the Fundamental Beliefs for over 20 years, beginning in 2000.
Kenneth Giese is a 1973 graduate of Ambassador College with a bachelor of arts degree in theology and speech. He has been involved in pastoral ministry, serving congregations across the United States, for over 40 years, including seven years as the pastor of the host congregation for Ambassador College in Big Sandy, Texas. In addition to the classes he teaches at Foundation Institute, he currently serves as pastor of the Fort Worth, Texas, and Tulsa, Oklahoma, congregation.
Doug Horchak holds a bachelor of arts in theology and communications from Ambassador College and a master of arts in psychology and counseling from Regis University. He has taught the Bible and Christian living as a church pastor since 1976 and has taught Principles of Christianity at Foundation Institute since 2012.
David Johnson graduated from Ambassador College, Big Sandy, Texas, in 1970 with a bachelor of arts in communications and religious studies. He served for 35 years in pastoral and youth ministry in various locations around the United States before being invited to become a full-time instructor at the Church’s educational center. In addition to 14 years of classroom experience, he has also participated in numerous educational seminars in the United States and internationally.
Doug Johnson graduated from Ambassador College in Pasadena, California, in 1973 with a bachelor of arts in theology. He served in pastoral ministry in Canada for 16 years, and continued that service in his native United States with his transfer to Ohio in 1989. Working with church youth camp programs for 24 years, he served for 11 years as director of the teen camp program at Camp Heritage, Pennsylvania. Current responsibilities include service on the Doctrine Committee, senior pastor for Canada and pastor of congregations in Ohio and Pennsylvania.
Erik Jones holds degrees in secondary education and history from the University of Akron. He taught in public education for three years, the last two teaching American history, government and economics at an early college high school in Akron, Ohio. In 2012-2013, he studied theology at Foundation Institute in Allen, Texas. He now writes and edits for LifeHopeandTruth.com and Discern magazine. He is also an adjunct instructor at Foundation Institute and manages the student housing program.
Ralph Levy holds a B.A. honors degree in linguistics and modern languages from the University of York, England; a B.A. degree in theology from Ambassador University; an M.A. degree in education from California State University, Los Angeles; and a Ph.D. in biblical studies from Union Institute and University of Cincinnati, Ohio. He taught Spanish, ESL, education, speech and theology at Ambassador College/University in Pasadena, California, and Big Sandy, Texas (1975-1996) and theology at Ambassador Bible Center in Milford, Ohio (2000-2010). He serves as the Academic Affairs officer of Foundation Institute.
Joel Meeker holds a bachelor of arts in theology from Ambassador College, a Licence ès lettres degree and a Maîtrise ès lettres degree in French literature from the University of Strasbourg, France, and has completed two years of doctoral studies in French literature from Washington University in St. Louis, Missouri. He served in the pastoral ministry in France for nine years and has administered French language regions for the last 24 years. He writes a regular column for Discern magazine and currently serves as chairman of the Ministerial Board of Directors of the Church of God, a Worldwide Association.
David Myers holds a bachelor of arts degree in theology from Ambassador College and a master of arts degree in Christian studies from Grand Canyon University. He has taught the Bible as a church pastor for over 40 years in New York, Massachusetts, Texas and Ohio. He also serves as director of Youth Education for the Church of God, a Worldwide Association. He has taught Survey of the Gospels since 2014.
