Description

This course will cover history, prophecy and theological lessons contained in the books of Isaiah, Jeremiah and Ezekiel, as well as lessons that can be learned from these books for today.  

Required Texts

  • The Holy Bible (New King James Version)
  • Chronological and Background Charts of the Old Testament (revised and expanded edition) by John H. Walton (Grand Rapids, Michigan: Zondervan, 1994)
  • A good Old Testament introduction—such as Old Testament Survey (second edition) by LaSor, Hubbard and Bush (Grand Rapids, Michigan: Eerdmans, 1996) or Introduction to the Old Testament by R.K. Harrison (Grand Rapids, Michigan: Eerdmans, 1969)—is recommended.

Educational Bio

Ralph Levy holds a B.A. honors degree in linguistics and modern languages from the University of York, England; a B.A. degree in theology from Ambassador University; an M.A. degree in education from California State University, Los Angeles; and a Ph.D. in biblical studies from Union Institute and University of Cincinnati, Ohio. He taught Spanish, ESL, education, speech and theology at Ambassador College/University in Pasadena, California, and Big Sandy, Texas (1975-1996) and theology at Ambassador Bible Center in Milford, Ohio (2000-2010). He serves as the Academic Affairs officer of Foundation Institute.
